Self-Help EMDR Therapy Disclaimer
Free-EMDR.com provides tools for self-help EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. This service is not a substitute for professional mental health care. We strongly recommend that you use this site in conjunction with the guidance of a licensed therapist, psychiatrist, or other qualified mental health professional. Self-administered EMDR can bring up distressing emotions and memories. If you experience overwhelming feelings or symptoms, please seek immediate help from a qualified professional.
Limitation of Liability
By using Free-EMDR.com, you acknowledge and agree that you do so at your own risk. The operators, developers, and affiliates of Free-EMDR.com are not responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, injuries, or adverse effects that may arise from your use of this service. This includes, but is not limited to, emotional distress, psychological symptoms, or any other harm. You expressly waive all claims against the operators of Free-EMDR.com for any reason related to your use of this site.
Privacy Practices
Free-EMDR.com is designed to maximize your privacy. We do not store any personal information about you on our servers, except what is strictly necessary to log you in using Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google, Apple, or Microsoft, and to provide your browser with the information it needs to access your private cloud storage. All SSO authentication and cloud storage access are handled directly between your browser and the respective providers; your data does not pass through our servers.
All information about your therapeutic history, session notes, and progress is stored locally in your browser's database. You may choose to back up this information to your own cloud storage (such as Google Drive, iCloud, or OneDrive) in an encrypted file. Only you have the password to decrypt this backup. If you lose your password, your encrypted backup cannot be recovered, but you may start over with a new therapeutic history.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your therapeutic data, session content, or personal notes to our servers. We do not use your data for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose. Your privacy and confidentiality are fully protected to the extent possible by modern web technologies.
